The ice skating scene has to be one of the most beautiful scenes in anime, that's what I call art. It reminds me of Tchaikovskii's 'The Dying Swan', life flashes before her very eyes as she finally accepts her fate and surrender to the will of the universe. Oh and love the Light Yagami reference, that would explain the increased death toll they mentioned early on in the anime.
